How-toActivities & collaboration
Create an activity
You can create activities almost anywhere in Salesware. Which activity types you can choose from depends on your permissions.
Via the header
Section titled “Via the header”The header is available everywhere – the quickest way, wherever you are.
- Click the plus icon on the right of the search field.
- Under “New activity”, select the type you want.
The activity opens in a new workspace and you can start editing right away.
Via the Home area
Section titled “Via the Home area”- In the “Activity” workspace, select the navigation filter “Home”.
- In the widget “Create a new activity”, click the type you want.
The activity is created in the current workspace.
In the “Activity” workspace
Section titled “In the “Activity” workspace”- Click the “New activity” button at the top of the workspace.
- Select the type you want.
If the navigation filters currently show a list that contains activities of only one type, the button carries the name of that type. One click then creates such an activity directly.
Example: You are looking at all tasks with the status “Not started”. The button is called “Task” – one click and the new task is there. For another type, click the arrow in the button.
From a record
Section titled “From a record”- In the three-dot menu of a record – a customer or an order, for example – open the option “Create activity”.
- Select the activity, structure or notice you want.
The record is automatically linked to the new activity:
- If the activity has a matching field for this record, the record appears there in the details.
- Otherwise it is added to the overview of the collection.
Example: You are on the phone with your customer Franz Arber and create a task from his three-dot menu. The task has a field for the customer – it shows up directly in the details. If you create a note instead, which has no such field, you find the customer in the overview of the collection.
Create an empty collection
Section titled “Create an empty collection”You can also create a collection first and then fill it step by step with activities and attachments.
Activities can also be created from other applications via a URL call. Whether and how this is set up in your company is something your administrator knows.
