Activity types at a glance
| Element | Purpose | What you edit in it |
|---|---|---|
| Collection – like a document folder | bundle activities, data, files and links without ordering them | name, visibility, participants |
| Structure – like a binder with cover sheet and dividers | map a process with milestones and predefined activities | name, visibility, participants and the structure’s own details |
| Notice – like a folder that is visible on the linked data | draw attention to something – as a notice, warning or error, inherited if required | name, visibility, participants and the notice’s own details |
| Activity – like a form | record the actual content: note, task, visit report … | description, comments and discussions, details and checklists depending on the type |
An activity is never independent; it is always part of a collection, a structure or a notice.
Which activity types exist in your company and which fields they have is defined by your administrator. To get the most out of an activity, it is worth agreeing its layout with them.
