The status field
The status shows the processing state of an activity. As a rule, every activity has a status; for individual activity types your administrator can set it up as optional.
Which status values exist and what they are called is defined by your administrator. They can add their own values and rename existing ones.
Where you change the status
Section titled “Where you change the status”- In the detail view you see the complete status field with all available values.
- In the quick view you change the status directly below the name.
- In the list view you change it without opening the activity – with a multiple selection even for several activities at once.
How the parent status works
Section titled “How the parent status works”If you complete a collection, a structure or a notice, all activities it contains are also treated as completed – regardless of the status they had before.
The individual status of each activity is kept in the background. A small info icon shows that the status is overridden by the parent level.
Example: A collection contains several tasks. One of them is still set to “New” but is no longer needed. You set the collection to “Completed”. The tasks no longer appear in your list of open activities, but keep their own status.
This lets you tidy up your work list without distorting the actual processing state of individual tasks.
